Private lessons

Mark has a passion for singing and an enthusiasm for teaching. His expertise and experience gained from over 20 years as a professional opera singer enable him to deliver a process of learning to sing that is creative and specific to each student.

Mark has taught students of all ages and abilities. Several of his students have gone on to music conservatoires, whilst others enjoy singing to their optimum in various choirs and ensembles.

He has a thriving private practice in London and a proven track record of teaching in several institutions.

Mark currently teaches at Middlesex University, Trent Park (www.mdx.ac.uk), and at Tasis, an American International School (www.england.tasis.com).

Residencies and workshops

Mark is one of two resident singing teachers for the London Oriana Choir (www.londonoriana.com), who perform at the major concert halls in London, and he regularly coaches small vocal ensembles by invitation.

Mark is a trustee of Magdala, a charitable community based education organisation in Nottingham (www.magdalanottingham.com).

He often acts as a workshop leader for their ‘Opera Start’ programme.

In London Mark regularly leads workshops for the award winning charity Streetwise Opera (www.streetwiseopera.org). These workshops help people who have experienced homelessness to move forward with their lives.
