Mark Oldfield

Teaching and vocal animateur

Mark has a thriving private practice in London and a proven track record of teaching in several institutions. Mark is currently teaching at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (BA acting), at the Italia Conti Academy (BA acting, music theatre and dance), and at Kingston University, London (MMus performance and MA education, all genres).

His expertise and experience, gained from his career as an opera and concert singer, inform his teaching. This is underpinned by ongoing professional development courses in vocal pedagogy, physiology for singing and performance psychology. The FHEA acknowledges his teaching work with a diverse student body.

Musical Directors of choirs and ensembles often invite Mark to provide vocal coaching to support their creative vision. Mark has a dedicated website, with details and testimonials about this work. www.vocalcraftwork.com

Arts organisations frequently invite Mark to act as animateur to facilitate creative projects. He draws upon his wide experience in community arts and past role as Creative Director of Workshops for Streetwise Opera, working with people who have experienced homelessness.
